Just a short stroll from the restaurant is the Peterson Creek, which has a 2 km Botanical Nature Walk, best viewing time to see platypus is sunrise and sunset.

Interesting tree root structure, grown above ground has created an amazing curtain formation.

Tinaburra Waters 5 Min

Tinaburra has a boat ramp and special areas set aside for water skiing and jet skiing. Wind surfing is also a popular sport.

Lake Eacham / Lake Barrine 15 Min

These twin crater lakes are perfect for canoeing and swimming in deep, crystal clear, natural waters. These Lakes are surrounded by National parks with a circuit track ideal for walking.

Twin Kauri Pine Trees 15 Min

View these giant trees 200 metres from the shores of Lake Barrine. It is also wheel accessible.

Lake Tinaroo has all year round fishing for Barramundi, Sooty Grunter and Red Claw potting. The lake can be accessed from many vantage spots. See the abundance of bird life on the Lake and water edges.

Mt. Bartle Frere 45 Min (to the base from the Topaz Rd Access)

Mt Bartle Frere is the highest mountain in Queensland. Has a climbing track to the summit, through dense forest, rated as a difficult climb, not recommend unless accompanied by a tour guide or expert mountain climber and check weather conditions.

Chillagoe Caves 2 Hours

Visit the lime stone caves and marble mines.

Undarra Lava Tubes 2 ½ Hours
